Arghyam is an NGO working in the water sector in urban as well as rural regions of India. Their endeavor is raising awareness on water quality and improving access to safe water all over India.
Arghyam in association with People’s Learning Centre, started an awareness campaign to addresses the issue of conservation of the Umiam Lake and other rivers in Shillong, Meghalaya. This 8-page document was designed to state and visualize some of the jarring facts of this crisis and to communicate the work initiated by PLC and Arghyam to surmount this crisis. The key audiences of this document are the concerned government authorities and the people of Shillong.
